"What is this place?"
"I'm not sure, there seems to be a lack of content but an overabundance of food."
Scanning the kitchen - jars of preserves and pickled vegetables, dried herbs and alliums and avocados, so many avocados. Interesting but inaccesible foodstuffs. A spray of crumbs that had apparently escaped the confines of a pastry box quickly caught their attention.
"Do you think they'll notice if we peck at those croissants in the box over there?"
"Don't be foolish, they're too busy with those martinis they just walked out with. They'll never even think to count a few crumbs."
As the pair hopped from crumb to crust, pecking and picking - they never understood that they might as well have consumed the entire box of pastries. The martini drinkers would never be able to locate the trove of baked goods, the trail had disappeared forever...
